The ancient technique of lost wax casting, or cire perdue, has been the backbone of bronze sculpting in Patan for centuries. This meticulous process begins with crafting a master mold out of beeswax, ensuring every minute detail is perfectly captured.
A Thousand Year Heritage
Our master artisans dedicate months to a single piece. After the wax model is complete, it is coated in special clay and baked. The wax melts away, leaving a hollow negative space where molten bronze is poured.
"Every statue requires the artist to literally lose the original wax masterpiece to give birth to the eternal bronze. It is a sacrifice of creation."
We are proud to uphold this sacred tradition, ensuring that every curve, jewel, and expression of our statues reflects the divine heritage of Nepal.
